The Nextion NX8048P050-011R is a 5 inch, 800×480 resistive touch HMI display from Nextion's top-end Intelligent Series. It doesn't need your microcontroller to draw graphics. You design screens, buttons, sliders, gauges and animations on a PC in the free Nextion Editor and load them onto the display. Your Arduino, ESP32, STM32, PIC or Raspberry Pi then just sends and receives simple commands over a two-wire serial link. The Intelligent Series has much more memory than the Basic and Enhanced lines. You get 120 MB of flash for fonts and images, 512 KB of RAM, a built-in RTC, 8 GPIO pins and support for audio, video and animation. That makes the NX8048P050 a good fit for industrial control panels, machine front-ends, smart-home controllers and final-year projects that need a polished touch interface without loading the main controller.
